In 2006 The Organic Cow company announced its “Organic Cow Cares Awards” program. These awards were developed to recognize individuals and groups who were making a difference in New England’s environment. Entrants from six states vied for top prizes of $1,200.

From 2005 to the present, what began as the Inventioneers’ project for the Ocean Odyssey challenge became an all-out campaign to educate the public about the growing problem of marine debris in our oceans and on our shores. We have continued our commitment to increase public awareness throughout the past year right up to the present time. (See Our Balloon Law). We entered our on-going project into the Organic Cow’s contest and took the top prize in New Hampshire. (For a summary of our work click here.)

We will be using these funds to subsidize our public education efforts, to print and distribute “Get a Grip on Balloons! NH” brochures and awards, and to produce and distribute our public service announcement called “Do It For Them”.
