Kids for Clean Water

We are working on a new water filtration device called the SAFER Water Filtration System. (SAFER stands for Swiping Automated Filtering Environmental Remediator). We have an operating prototype that we designed and built together with a scientist using filtration on the nano scale. This means our system could filter out viruses and bacteria from contaminated water supplies in developing countries.

Our goal is to partner with a relief organization or other non-profit agency working on the problem of contaminated water. We want to join the United Nations’ mission in the Water for Life Decade. Mr. James Clements, our expert and mentor, holds patents on our filter membrane and he supports the viability of our SAFER System. We would like to take our invention further to a fully operational level and then offer this technology, at little or no cost, to those facing polluted drinking water around the world. Our system’s parts, apart from the filter membrane, are made from common and inexpensive materials.
